"The Matriarch of Tamarlane"

Sarah came to me quite by accident at 10 months of age, but she proved herself to be one of the great brood bitches of the breed.  She produced 15 champions in a total of four litters, all sired by Ch.Akita Tani's Daimyo ROM. In her first litter, she produced Ch.Tamarlane's Silver Star ROM, who was the top winning Akita in 1979.  This was the breeding that put Akitas of Tamarlane on the map as a force to reckon with in both the show ring as well as the whelping box.
